Ninja not starting up.
Hey there guys, recently decided to install my oggy knobs, remove the snorkel and shim the needles at the same time. Oggy knobs was a failure, those bolts at the engine needed powertools to remove. I got the snorkel out and then tried to shim the needles. Stripped a screw on the carbs by using the wrong screwdriver lol.
And so to sum up, i've removed the fairings, gas tank and even tried to move the air filter to get the carbs out. I didn't get to shim, but i decided to close the thing back up to ride, and i noticed smoke coming up form the handlebars, and the choke had really high rpm going on. Realised i didn't reconnect the gray hose on the front left tank, and didn't replace the one screw i removed from the carbs. And that the choke cable wasn't replaced entirely. So with all that fixed, the bike started up fine, and ran fine. Until it just, died down. The rpm just dropped and it just stopped. And now it wouldnt start again. I hear the ticking noises when starting, it just wouldn't fire. What should i do? I can't send it to the mechanic, because i can't ride there. Lol. Please advise. |

Sounds like a gas problem. Are you sure you connected the fuel hose? The bike have run on what was left in the carbs and then died.

I'm pretty sure i had the hoses back. 4 hoses in total, one on the front left, one that runs under the middle to a black thingy, 2 that runs to the petcock, and the larger one being the one to the fuel right?
