Has anyone else noticed the fairings on a black red Special Edition?

The main side fairings are from the red ninja's but they just have a really well done black vinyl over them.
And on the insides they did a light black paint job over the red, you can see the red through it.

Just thought it was kinda funny, kawasaki using up overstocked parts lol.

I have never seen a black red special edition so I will have to take your word for it.

Kevin, do you happen to have pics of the messed up fairing?
It'd be cool to see the red showing through and then everyone else will know what I'm talking aboot. :P

So the funny thing is the side plastics are red with a black sticker and the headlight housing is black with a red sticker

We don't have that colour scheme in Canada, but does that mean I could order that black vinyl that goes on the side from a US vendor? I think it would look nice on my 09 red.

The red is different from Passion or Sunbeam and you would need red vinyl for a black upper/front anyway.

I'd only want the black on the sides...I'd keep the rest as it is.
