Exhaust trouble.. please help.
I'm so frustrated. As some of you may remember, a drunk "friend" of mine took and wrecked my bike (obviously without permission) and it's still more or less jacked up. I can live with the fairing damage, but I'm so sick and tired of my tore up pipes. I've tried everything from painting them every color under the sun, to trying to find OEM used stuff. I simply can't and won't afford new pipes made for the 250. Most slip ons are insanely priced, and used is nothing but a crapshoot for even MORE banged/scratched pipes.
I'm at wits end. I have $50-$80 to spend on pipes, and that's it (the 250 is a moneysink at this point) so I've come to the conclusion of "F*** it, shorty pipes it is", HOWEVER, what the heck is with the pipe diameter??? Every set of shorty pipes I've found fit 1 3/4" or 1.5" outlets... neither are the pregen 250's... In fact.. I can't find anything for a 1 1/8" pipe... Am I stupid? Will the 1.5" somehow work? What have others done? If ANYONE knows of a way to make this work (or simply a cheap alternative to my horrible looking current situation), PLEASE let me know |

I'm sure an adapter could be made if you really want to go that route. Could we have picture of what your dealing with?

Ok so here's the picture. I'd suggest dropping JLinde1339 a PM and see what he can tell you about his. Looks REALLY loud too me... GL!

I've got a pair of older black stock cans that aren't destroyed and may even be dent free. But shipping would kill from CA to PA.

Well at the moment, I have stock cans that are (right side) scratched to hell and back, and a few dents. No rust (my bike seriously looked showroom clean before the wreck), and I just wish I could get something even close to that again.
