Cylinder base gasket replacement
When replacing the base gasket do you need to use a gasket cement like Yamabond or just use it plain?

You can use it plain .Or spray on copper tack. No Yamabond.Thick stuff is no good because the block is trying to move around. Clean the serface with a razorblade and break cleen. You want the serface as clean and scratch free as possable. Be carefull with the razor blase. Maybe a scotch brite to finish it off.
