Adjustable pegs: No need to modify Buell pegs anymore

I was searching for Buell pegs to combine with my rearset adjusters so that my pegs are no higher but are further back with no reduced ground clearance. That's when I came across an eBay seller with "adjustable pegs" with a similar design. The difference is that these pegs are on a bracket which can be rotated so that it either drops the peg, moves the peg back, raises the peg, or moves the peg forward. The bracket is available in 25mm or 40mm.

25mm:

40mm:

I think they are a bit expensive but it's not like the Buell pegs were free.

These look pretty slick but $50 seems pretty steep when you can make riser plates out of some aluminum and a drill.

Well, you'll also need a couple peg adapters and pegs to attach those plates to (stockers aren't going to work).

Buell pegs (N0520.1AD and N0521.1AD) would come in only one color for about $35, require modification (grind to fit), come in one length only, and aren't adjustable (drop only). Someone probably thinks the price difference is worth it.

I agree that it's steep and hope to find cheaper ones from other eBay sellers. These look very much like my blue begs that rotate and prices were all over the map for those.

Edit: It looks like other sellers do have them. The2Wheels, which we all know for their levers, had some super short adjustable pegs.

Sorry, I guess I wasn't thinking about fancier pegs.

I was just saying that you can make a set of rearset adjusters that would move your stock pegs straight back with just some plate aluminum.

The problem is that those do not move your pegs down. What led me to this was specifically a thread where people were discussing that rearset adjusters did not help for getting more legroom (only moves back, up, or back and up). Increasing legroom at the expense of ground clearance is what the Buell peg mod has been suggested for all along for, so it came up in the same thread (of course).

I have rearset adjusters and shorter dogbones (raised suspension). Reading that thread prompted me to wonder what combining Buell pegs with my adjusters and suspension would achieve (more room without much reduction in ground clearance). The thing is, I have new colored pegs already that I'm not going to sacrifice for these. If I consider getting these it would be for one of the other bikes.

I'm looking at the brakets and pegs from these guys: http://www.cyclepirates.com/main/index_2

Seem more solid. More expensive but worth it i think.
