As it has been stated already, Paul has had some business issues and since have been resolved. He has been more than willing to resolve all of his customer issues granted you give him time to respond. No offense but I'm sure your not the only customer he has. I'm sure he has some research to do to verify your purchase, if the item shipped, track it if he can, etc... Give him some time to respond before you continuing posting.

What to do?
I emailed Paul at support@shinto-racing.com about what product I wanted that he has in stock and he said in an email to me that he had been waiting for a response from me. I have all email I have sent to him at his support@shinto-racing.com address and PM on ninjette.org. I have no clue why he seems to only respond when I post on this forum? Anyhow sent this email:
How about dark grey handlebar grips, weighted bar ends (matching dark grey), gold yolk bolt and oil bolt, fully adj lever (grey/gold), integrated led taillight Brian Yesterday and waiting for his response but have not heard back yet. |

brian,
i cannot speak to paul's availability or lack thereof. that being said, i must reiterate the fact that he is a one-man company. i suggest you request a full refund, letting him know that you plan to order through myself via Shinto USA. i'm sure he will honor your request. this will save you money as my price points are lower, shipping is included, and based on what you stated you're looking for, kit discounts as well as potential group buy discounts may be available to you. help me help you pm me or preferably, email your order to shintousaorders@gmail.com thanks |

Well ordered the rearset and got it but missing gear's side mounting hardware. Didn't want to have Paul send it cuz cost so much international...tried to wait for bulk GB but got push back so after like a month I contacted Paul to have it shipped + ordered 2 oil caps to hope even out shipping costs for him. 4 weeks later still nothing....man this shipping thing bites.

I forgot to include that no tracking was provided/available. Basically just said it was "shipped" per email 4 weeks ago and that was it. Well haven't seen anything yet.

right...search. i think i've read and re-read every single post written for and about Shinto numerous times. besides, that thread shows the exact same FE i got from Paul. it arrived broken (which is why i'm eager to know the status/workmanship of the new FE). i thought he got a new fiber guy? i'd like to see the new guy's work... with pic's and a review by a third party. |

Here's my experience with Shinto.
July 18 - I emailed Paul, told him I wanted the front sprocket covers. Paid in full. Was told it wouldn't ship until mid August. I'm fine with that. No problem. August 18 - I email Paul asking about the sprocket covers. He tells me there was a delay, another 2 weeks max. Ok, no biggie. I wait. Sept 7 - I email Paul asking about the covers. No response. Sept 12 - I email Paul asking about the covers. No response. Sept 27 - I email Paul asking about the covers. No response. At some point in this month (September), I also talked to Vince, the Shinto USA distributor, about Paul's lack of response. I still got nothing (from Paul. Vince responded very quickly). I still have no idea what's going on with my product and my money. It's ridiculously frustrating. I understand that he is a one man show, but he still needs to respond to his customers and at least tell them what's going on. I've already asked for a refund, and am about to open a paypal dispute. I just wanted to share my experience here because there seems to be a lot of poor experiences with people dealing with Shinto racing. |

Ok, I think it is clear. Obviously you don't like SHINTO. Stop buying products then. Simple.

All I can say is don't buy SHINTO on eBay, I actually reported him to eBay for excessive shipping charges.
After I see a seller doing dishonest business, it doesn't really encourage me to buy from them.. |

uh....what's so unreasonable? he dropped the price on the item considerably to factor in the HIGH expense of shipping from thailand via DHL. Shinto rearsets actually sell for $250. basically, he's forfeiting a healthy portion of what he makes on the product to get cutomers their items as quickly as possible. otherwise, they would ship ocean freight, take 3-4 weeks to arrive, spend 3-5 days in customs, and then take another week to be delivered.
just something for others to consider....... |

Hey guys
So after my public tirade, I got a response from Paul. Interesting one, nonetheless. I also responded to you, Vince. I also just want to say this is my personal experience. I'm sure many of you have dealt with Paul and/or Vince and have had different experiences, good and bad. I'm not on this forum to badmouth or trash on anybody or anything. I was more than not just hoping that I would get a response from Paul, which I did. And I just went back and reread my previous post. I don't believe I was stating anything but the fact that I wasn't getting a response from Paul and that I am very frustrated. So please, certain people, don't take offense to this. I'm not saying Shinto or its products are bad. Neither am I endorsing Shinto, though... edit - So Paul and I have sorted things out. There was either a very big miscommunication or the timing of the deal was horrible. Either way, Paul was straight forward about the whole thing and he took care of it. Hopefully no more problems. |

Rearsets (estimated 5 LBs) shipped from Thailand to the USA (Florida) using Express EMS Intl, cost is 64,56$ USD, he's asking 149,99$.. 85,43$ difference... what do you call that? I have been shipping item internationaly for nearly a decade and I have never seen anyone charge 150$ to ship a Small Packet (5lb) box to the USA, ever. Beside, if you buy this item one eBay and pay this rate and for whatever reason you decide you want a refund, you just lost 75% of your money right there. 149,99$ shipping cost is never refundable on eBay and ship it back to Thailand for 70$... you only have about 80 bucks remaining... out of 300. |
