Brand new member, Brand new bike. Helpp

What's up guys & girls? I have a four hour old 2011 250r and it was assembled after i bought it today. Was delivered to my house while i was at work. I got home and it was the first time i ever sat on a bike and it was intense. No shifting problems, stalling out etc. After putting about 10 miles on it going around my neighborhood I came to a dead stop i started accelerating and when i shifted it popped the bike alittle and i was fighting for dear life to stay on (funny now, Not so much then). I shook it off took a break thinking it was something i did even though i couldn't think of anything i did differently from before. About five minutes later i started it and let my son sit on it and he pulled the throttle back alittle and it stayed there. Does not come back at all. Im wondering what exactly the problem could be, It wasnt doing it for the first 9 miles or so but is now. Any ideas?

call the dealer you bought the bike from and have them fix it. sounds like a mess up during the assembly of the bike at the dealer. a stuck throttle can be life threatening. they should come and pick the bike up from you for repair. don't ride it there.

sounds like the throttle or throttle cables are binding somewhere.

Sorry about your bike, hopefully it's an easy and quick fix. Frustrating to have stuff go wrong with new stuff but it happens, you will be riding again soon!

It's a good thing you caught the problem early. This could have been a horrible situation on the road.

Hopefully the dealer you bought it from takes good care of you with no hassles.
