I have a 2011 250r my son lost the key to it then I messed up the ignition because I'm not going to buy a new key or ignition. does the 100-ohm resistor on the gray wire work on 2011?

Sure, 100-ohm resistor is needed on grey wire.

You can also take key-code (printed near bottom-front of ignition) to dealer/locksmith and they can cut you brand-new key.

Thank you..... I probably would but the ignition and screwdriver&hammer got into a fight I'm sure you know which one won. I would buy another one but I'm putting everything on a go-kart.

Here's some diagrams that should help you with minimal wiring for kart. For pre-gen '88-07 models, but same idea.

This one is drawn really well, but re-uses ignition switch.

Here's one that removed ignition-switch, but not drawn to schematic standards.

If you don't use starter-solenoid, make sure you get really heavy-duty starter-button.
