The End of Firefox for me! (Rant)

I have finally had it and I have wiped all traces of Firefox from my drive! I'm tired of the constant crashing when I hit a link or go to pay for something I just purchased on eBay. Enough! I know it is free. I know it is all "We got together and built a world based cuddly software" to compete against the evil Microsoft, but if it don't work...it don't work.

Nature does not accept excuses in lieu of performance. If you can't run on 64-bit Vista then you are out the airlock!

Out with Firefox in with Chrome /Steel Hybrid.

I run firefox 3.5.2 on all my systems, including Vista 64 and windows 7 64 and it runs flawlessly on all of them.
My friend on the other hand has 32 bit vista and firefox crashes all the time so he now uses chrome.

I can't imagine why it runs fine on a majority of computers out there except a select few. You have either something wrong with your computer or you have a program installed that conflicts with firefox for some reason.

Regardless, chrome is nice too, so if it works, then no problems.

Cool

Yes it was Firefox 3.5 and 3.6.

It is strange because I run multiple boots.

99% of the time I run a bare bones VM boot of 64-bit that has absolutely no add on software but Office, Firefox and anti-virus.

I have been testing Chrome Alpha 4.0.206.1 which went Beta the last day or two with a couple of process hacks I picked up from Steel (Android) and it hasn't gone down once!

I have no more time for words, from now on I speak with my pistol.

if it works for you go for it - I love chrome but it's buggy as all get out on my machines - rather disappointing really

pffft. Firefox has been relegated to third on my list of browsers....just seems buggy compared to what it used to be... Safari and Opera FTW! IE (any flavor) for the Epic FAIL. IE sucks. Period.

I like Opera 9/10 and it integrates with the Android Phone well.

I was having mean problems with Firefox and when they came out with version 3.5 it literally cured my crashing issues. That and it would hang randomly (and would literally make me question the meaning of life and other issues in the HUGE gap of time)... I haven't had any issues since Weird in your case though. Oh well! Go with what works.

The only trouble I've ever had with Firefox is when I clicked 'Bookmarks' it automatically assumed I wanted to make a new one instead of showing me a list of my current bookmarks. This started when I upgraded to 3.5 and was cured in a recent update.

I've never had any other trouble with it and it's so much more reliable than IE.
