Sorry was busy the weekend. yea i need race plastics and so does max, I have until sept to get it all figured out. I am trying to see if i can score a used 250 to use as a track/race bike. Hope to get lucky with it at least having clip ons on rearsets lol. Ill drop you a pm about the plastics if max doesn't get them, Thinking of just beating tiff up and taking her extra hotbodies set as well

Actually it wasn't too bad re-installing mine. If you need help, I'll come up over the summer. Do you have the necessary jetting stuff?

Why hello there. I just put a deposit on that one on SCM. I will be there riding a 250 and not a 600. Soo Darren I'm gonna have to buy those plastics off you.

Soo many questions. Somebody loan me a bike to copy, I gotta get this thing built.

I need to pick up a dynojet kit from the first owner, he has it for me I just have to get it. I'd like to get it done by June so that I have plenty of time to work on tuning.

Looks better IRL. they are super strong too. toss a couple coats of spray can on her and you'll be ROLLIN dirtay! I may have some extra parts to throw in. I just gotta fin 'em (sprockets n what not)

So I'm for sure doing bodywork, rearsets, clipons. What tires should I run? Any other must have mods? Cheap full system exhaust? I probably need to pick up a set of warmers that will fit on these cute little tires.

this set is stronger than hotbodies, from what i've seen and heard hotbodies are pretty much one time use only. ask Nemesis how much tape it took to get him to re-use his. LOL! I ain't gonna go all salesman on my set but I've seen em go used for a pretty penny... I'll bro it out for cheap to anyone on here or scm but that's it.

Hotbodies are best bang for the buck but there are better qualities out there. I wish I had the cash for a set of Sharkskinz. Those are the ****!

I'm using 120/160 woodcrafts and they seem to work well.

At chuckwalla its hot enough that you really don't need warmers except in the morning. Half a lap of pushing it decently and romping on the brakes overly hard will put enough heat into the tires to get them working. I just throw the warmers on between sessions to slow the cooling rate down. Pirelli ran a test at the WERA Vegas round with some temp probes in the tires of a front runner 250 and found that the carcasses only get up to about 135F during the race. Considering its 100+ outside most of the time at CVMA and the concrete will be 20 degrees higher than that, just sitting in the sun will put your tires close to where they need to be temperature wise.

That being said, get Pirelli tires, vesrah brake pads, SS braided lines, clipons and rear sets and you'll be good to race. Worry about power any tuning later, unless you have the time and cash to get it done right. PM me for some woodcraft pricing, I is a dealer

As far as tires look for the Pirelli Diablo Rosso II thread on here and you'll see how amazing they are. Definitely get those.
