Tank under pressure and bike wont start

Ok so if you let the bike warm up it will die and wont restart. If you open the gas tank there is pressure. I pulled the kleen air system and pluged all the connections. As soon as you open the tank the bike will restart. I put a new exhaust system and k@n pod and rejetted the carb.

Regarding the refusal to restart, quite normal. There's a mod over on kawiforums that opens up the venting in the cap by just drilling it out to make the tank stop whining; may also fix this issue but no guarantee.

Regarding it dying if you let it warm up, it shouldn't be doing that. How warm is it getting? Assume you've checked coolant, etc. Probably shouldn't be sitting in place while running more than a couple minutes. These bikes are liquid-cooled, but they do need moving air to cool the liquid

Just letting it run a few min while we were getting our gear on. It just died and could not get it to restart. So i parked it figured it was a carb problem and would mess with it this morning. Thats when i opened the tank up. If were riding it shouldnt pressure up right. I dont need it to die in the wife while shes riding it.

My experience has been that it stalls and won't restart until you open it after a different scenario:
It has been fully warmed, allowed to cool about 15 minutes, then run hard (usually dies within a couple blocks).

Just make sure to vent the pressure before you get going if you let it warm up a while. I typically just crank up (with choke as needed), let it warm for ~1m whle I put on my helmet & gloves, then go, decreasing choke as it warms while riding.

My experience has been somewhat similar to Jet's though, usually vapor-lock after a hard ride and let sit for 5-10min, like a highway rest stop. Starts sputtering as the carb bowls exhaust their fuel supply & can't draw from tank due to excess pressure.

Only happened to me maybe a dozen times in over 22,000mi though.
