Ninja 250 Lever change Help

Hey guys so im trying to change my levers on my 2012 ninja 250. On the brake lever I'm having a problem removing the pivot bolt from the lever. Basically I removed the lock nut on the bottom but the top bolt just spins and doesnt move up at all.

Does anyone have any idea of how I could get it out? Just for reference its currently around 32 F so maybe when it warms up some thermal expansion will help?

I would have expected the bolt to thread out as you turned it, but it could be stripped. I guess the next thing I would try is putting a vise grip on the bolt head and turning it while pulling. Squirting some penetrating oil around the threaded end might help a little.

Threads stripped due to someone overtighening.

Easy way i've found to remove is to tap gently upwards with hammer while unscrewing with ratchet on top.

try putting a punch in from the bottom and apply pressure upward against bolt while unscrewing from the top.

Looks like it's corroded.

Some lever pivots screw into the perch and also have a locknut on the bottom, some don't screw into the perch and just use a nut to secure it.

It looks like this one isn't threaded into the perch to me, but maybe someone can confirm.

If it's not, just take a punch and tap the pivot bolt up and out. That should be enough to break the corrosion and knock it out. I'd probably use some lubricant on the pivot areas and maybe some blue locktite on the threads. That will help seal it from moisture and keep it from corroding.
