Started the break down to do what little maintenance I know how to do and a full wash of all the road grime and grease and oil that has just built up. My girl worked hard these lt two weeks, she deserves some serious pampering.

Need to take here into Kawasaki and say Service since I know I have missed some of the larger maintenance items.

Replaced clutch cable that broke last week (went a whole week on a jerry rigged end piece). Installed a drop in Uni Filter. Seema like the bike gained some midange but shouldn't have. Put some carbon wrap on gas tank to protect from my bags.

Lol well I guess my luck hasn't changed ... My perspective has. Quit my job to move back upstate to roc to be w my gf. Realized she had some monogamy issues .... Hoe not = to house wife. Took it really hard.

Now I snapped out of it a bit and I've reconnected w old friends. Nurseninja300 stopped by when I was miserable and we went for a ride on her 300. Totally brought up my spirits and made me want to fix my ninja250 again.

I've got three motorcycles and none are rideable!

I have been ordering parts- so moral of the story!

You got to face the music / deal w your own $hyt / and make the luck you want and f#yck the rest !

Should have my vstar together tonight.

I went through my ninja and cleaned the carbs and did an oil change... Runs as good as ever.... Now I just need to wire in all the signals and remount the head light.

Ridding into DMV today to regi my bikes. Very late in the season ... But never to late!

It's good to be back!

I upgraded my tires yesterday,.. I'm running 150/60 now.... I was a bit skeptic at first but then what the heck... I had to get something!

I must say its money well spent. It handles a lot better now and doesn't feel sluggish either.

I didn't get to do anything else today, since I was too busy test riding the duke 390

Finally started and almost finished my front brake setup (Brembo 15RCS, Speigler line, Vesrah pads), all I have left to do is install the pads which I wanted to wait until after I had a chance to ride the bike with just the line and master to compare.

Decided I would try something to keep my cdi little cooler. Ran a 1/2" vinyl house, with a funnel tip, from the front to the cdi. Will draw fresh air straight on to the cdi. Also cut many holes in the rubber surround on the cdi. Don't know if this will help it from overheating and giving me weird tach readings but I thought I would try. Dealer already replaced the tach, but of course that did nothing. Just don't want to have to take it all the way back over there to have them try and diagnose even though I already know its the cdi. Wish I could afford the aftermarket brt cdi.

Replaced fork oil and dust seals, put in Race Tech springs and 15w fork oil.

Took wayyyy longer than I expected because I didn't realize how far the oil seals had to be pushed in order to get the spring clip in.

Got soaked on it :/ might try that ride again tomorrow with @nautica But my hugger worked great!!! the top of my shock was the only dry part of the bike.

For some reason though, now my neutral indicator light is coming on at half power whenever my clutch is pulled in. Everything works, but I have a little green flicker when I shift. Guess I'll just have to shift without the clutch more then.

Also, bought some chain wax, and some new DOT4 brake fluid. Gotta get rid of that mushy front.

After my two long rides, discovered a lot of my bolts had vanished. Today, also discovered the clip on my master link was also gone (have a new chain which does have the master link in it) so an emergency run to the Kawi shop got me a new one.

I am trying to install the Cycle Guys FastPack Tail bag and failing miserably, so I gave up in frustration. I will attempt it again, when I don't feel like chucking it like a frisbee.

Charged battery on 250
Cleaned wheels on 250
Installed APE manual cam chain tensioner on R6

Rode dirt bikes with kids and son in law and nursed a couple of exhaust burns on the legs. :\ Blew a rear tire on the pw80 at the bottom of a hill, felt like banana peels while going up. lol

Was a good day.

Replaced my levers with new short style. While at it, I replaced the clutch cable and lubed the others...Also replaced the grips.

Love how they glue the factory bar ends on. That's what my heat gun was made for!

Its a 50/50 shot if they used red or blue lock-tight on them. I had red too... pain in the tail end!

Rode about 350 miles on it with @nautica down south to OH 800 and a few other curvy roads.

I think it's time for a new rear tire and a 42T rear sprocket. Poor thing was running almost 9k to keep up on the highway. We had fun though. I kept running up on Brett's tail during downhill corner exits. I like me some downhill turns! BRAAAAP!

Last night, I flushed and replaced all my brake fluid since it was super mushy. Much better now. I have to not grab so hard, I kept nose-diving.

Added 430 miles to the odometer trying to round out my tires again. Unfortunately every twisty section I hit was occupied by someone considerably slower than the speed limit.

Installed The Cycle Guys FastPack Tail Bag, realized I had the velcro straps too snug, loosed them up a bit and it was easier to put on. I am content with this product.
