Yes! Another poll. Your favorite sport bike?
This poll only applies to a sport bike that you own or have owned. Who made your favorite sport bike? The one that you love/loved most? What year/model was it? Why is/was it your all time favorite? Pictures are encouraged
My all time favorite was a 1993 CBR900RR in black/red/silver. Literbike power in a middleweight package! It was my first sport bike and also my first new bike purchase. It had a 16" front wheel with a bastard-sized front tire. The experts cut the front end to pieces, pointing out that it was a bit squirrely, sucked over bumps while leaned and tended to lift towords the air too easy I've owned several liter CBR's (900RR, 929RR, 954RR, 1000RR) but this one is my all time favoritistist! I learned about performance riding on this bike, from other riders on the mountain roads along the NC/SC border. We didn't have internet then! I learned a lot from other riders, some good and some bad. This bike started it all for me and I still miss it. I sold it to fund a 600cc race bike. Though I did love racing, I always regretted letting that bike go. Oh... and this think had a huuuge trunk under the rear seat! Here it is, day 1, along with a new Shoei... I think that was an X-8

I miss my 2003 CBR 954RR. I had tons of fun on that bike.

My favorite was my 2001 Suzuki SV650S. I eventually sold it because the bent-over ergonomics put me in physical therapy twice for carpal tunnel syndrome, but I put 75,000 wonderful miles on that bike. This was my first "real" bike and I fell in love with riding and touring on it.

A friend of mine let me ride his cbr600 and after a few minutes my left wrist was killing me. Dont know if its from playing so much guitar in my younger days (im 30 now) or if i was so tense and not supporting my weight with my abs and lower back.

It's a toss up between the Ninja 250 I own now and the Honda Night Hawk 650 I used to own.

Suzuki GSXR 750 or Triumph Daytona 675 would be my top two choices.
Had the enjoyment of sitting on a 2011 GSXR 750 at the dealer today. The bike felt amazingly well to me and more comfortable then my ninjette. |
