Throttle grip making throttle sticky

The end rubber of my the throttle grip keeps pushing outwards/downwards and making the throttle stick. When I push it back up everything is ok and the throttle snaps back when let go.

How can I get it to stay in place? Should I razor off the ends? I don't know if its stock and therefore wouldn't matter if I ordered a new one.

Is it too long? Does the whole grip slide down or just the end?

If it's the end, cut it off. If it's the whole grip, I use safety wire up near the part where your thumb goes. Keeps the whole thing from sliding off.

Some guys use hair spray to keep them in place. Remove the grip and clean the inside of it and the outside of the throttle tube, then wet with hair spray and shove it on.

I've used a little weather strip adhesive before, but you have to be willing to fight it when you need to remove it, or just cut it off when it comes to that time.

It's the right end of the grip in the photo that kind of sticks to the metal not allowing it snap back:

Hair spray does the trick IMHO, I've used it many many times.

Are those the OEM grips? If not some aftermarket grips need some trimming.

Can you tweak the controls over a bit just to give the grip a little more room? Those look like a stock grip but it appears to have less room side to side than mine does.
