From the Pacific Northwest

Hi, have been here for a while but I take abit to introduce myself.
I am happy to see another Ninja board!
Been riding since 1982 Mostly dual sport and lots and lots of 2 stoke dirt riding until it finally took its toll on all my joints
Had a 1999 Ninja up from 99 until the new release of the 2008.
Did the switch to the 08 and have had a blast modin' it out.

I ride mostly with my husband of 21 years, Mostly back roads out in the country. I do not like highway riding and do so only to get to the next twisty.
We live in a small town of about 3000 people, in the Cascade Mountian Foothills.

I ride for fun and don't bike commute because I am a Realtor and have to carry lots of files etc..

Lowered front and rear.
I have a 25-26 inch inseam 5 foot and a little rounded and couldn't touch the ground safely at all. First day I had the dealer lower the rear. They used an x10 link. There was not a kit availble yet. It took a while to get used to the new bike. I just didn't mesh with it. Soon I decided to lower the front and wala'
it was back in the correct geometry and handling was perfect.

Yoshi slipon. I like the sound, they provided great customer service .

Had the carb needles shimmed and jetted. This removed the bottom end hesitation.
I am lucky enough have a great tuning mechanic at my local dealer.

Targa fender elim. kit

Came with a seat cowl so I have removed passenger pegs and replaced with an exhaust hanger. (The link is in aftermarket parts)
removed passenger pegs.

not really mods but a bit of vinyl and
A couple of Incredible Hulk stickers and my crow sticker I had Beast make.

Here is some picts. Myself and my Husband and his Triumph. He has an 08 Ninja also.( red) slower and only has the 6 gears.

besides that I think the bike is pretty complete on it's own.

Zartan! Your bike looks great! I've spent a little bit of time up in the Pac Northwest, and really enjoyed myself up there. I know that it can from time to time, but the scenery is beautiful, the roads are great, and the people are friendly. Glad to have you on board.

Aloha, Z. Good to see you posting.

Good to have another well established rider among the flock. Love your bike (how can I not with it being green ), but mostly I like the maturity and sensible presence you bring to all posts when you contribute.

Hope you will consider trucking those bikes to Hawaii for some winter sun someday.

Aloha,

Hi Zartan, welcome aboard. What's that sticker on your seat cowl (that seems to be peeling?)

That was the 2nd Hulk decal but it wasn't peeling just the fold of the cowl made it look weird so I took it off. I am an old school Hulk fan.

Old school as in the Bill Bixby Hulk, or old school as in you've been reading the comic since Steve Ditko drew it and he was grey?

Old school as in both. But didn't get into the comic until 82 , Then started collection.
I know that #1 was grey. Then 2-6 Green because it was easier to print.

1-6 then break, then tales to astonish then back again at 102 to start the series again
Then grey again in the mid - late 80s. Joe Fixit or something. I would have to pull the comic out of my boxes. Really don't remember all the names of the artists but reconize the styles.

I loved Bill Bixby, Oh my god he was my hero. Big crush since Eddies father. So sad he has passed on..

Hated the first movie. Loved the 2nd one.

Same here. Hopefully Marvel is finally on track with their movies. Iron Man was awesome and it will be interesting to see the "talking" Hulk in the upcoming "Avengers" movie.
