Needing Some Tire Advice

Ok so I'm a new rider and in need of tires I live in Iowa so I only ride about 4 months of the year but during these months I ride everyday. My style of riding is mostly commuting and regular street riding no cannons or mountains. In your guys opinions what's the best price and brand option for my type of riding?

Thanks for the help

Some good info here:

You can't go wrong with the BT-45's or the GT-501's for all-around general usage.

I've just ordered a pair of Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres. Obviously I can't recommend them yet, but they've been discussed quite a bit in here and have had a favourable reception.

Sadly the rear tyre only comes as small as 140/70 (instead of the recommended 130/70), but apparently it's a little thinner than 140 when you actually measure it. The front tyre is available in 110/70, the recommended size.

I did this same thing. Rides like a dream so much better.
