I have that exact one. The picture quality is quite lacking but I suppose it depends on what you want out of it. For me, it was fine because I'm not uploading it to Youtube or anything. Lower your expectations (a lot) if you don't want to be disappointed.

You're right. It's good for what it is, but all I'm saying is just don't expect near-GoPro quality because you will be severely disappointed.

It sure looks like the same camera that a few people picked up in this thread. Can I merge them?

The camera case looks visually the same, by the electronics inside could be completely different. The branding on the case is different between the two.

Would definitely love to hear people's experiences with these cameras! I just received a handlebar camera mount (http://www.ebay.com/itm/200738305429...4.m1497.l26490) but haven't been able to test it out yet do to crazy weather today. It was a little too wide, so I had to trim the sides a little, as well as move my clutch lever a few centimeters to get it to fit on the handlebar. I'll be able to get my little handycam on there no problem (A/V nut, so HD is ideal), but I think the view will be half through the windshield/half over the windshield.
If the reviews on this camera are decent, I may look into that until I have the cash to pick up a GoPro

I own one of these cameras.

But I haven't got around to getting a MicroSD installed in it and attaching it to my helmet.

yeah i checked out youtube and quality seems to be impressive. I got mine for 19.99 with the 8gb card included. If i get it this week, i'll post up a video link if no one else does it by the time i get mine. Just to show the quality of it. SOme guy off youtube runs 2 of these cameras. One in the helmet and one on the frame sliders with velcro. My friend actually told me about this camera awhile back i just forgot about it. He used to have one until he got a gopro for christmas. He said they're really good.

That video up there has a 2008 recording date on it? Is the technology just so cheap because it's so old? It can't be very good quality.

Picture quality is okay, fps seems pretty low & choppy. For dirt cheap, good deal though.

Thanks for the test video! Definitely persuaded me to pick one of these up as the handlebar mount I bought is only good for videoing the rider through the mirror. Just wanted to ask how were you able to mount it inside your helmet and get that kind of visibility?

i used velcro tape. I just taped it to the side of my helmet. If you youtube it, you should find a video of how others did it. It won't be in the way. I actually bought the new drift HD camera because I lost this one i was sad about it because its actually a good camera for 20 bucks. So I just ended up buying the drift.

Ahh cool stuff, I'll def look into that! I bought one from a different company cuz the camera only cost 9 and change (bought a separate 8 gig card for 4 bucks), which claims it comes with a magnetic swivel base, so I may see how well it can sit on the gas tank. Inside the helmet would be ideal though, as I would like to be able to have voice recording on the same file, rather than have the audio and video separate then combine them post production. Sorry to hear that you lost your cam, though the video from the drift must be excellent! My intention is to use the cheap camera just for now as the summer (for me) is nearing an end, so I won't be able to buy and use a higher end camera until next summer unless we get another warm winter here haha

The magnetic mount thing is horrible. Its super weak and will not hang on the gas tank or anything :/

Haha thank you! Gotta actually see what it looks like and all that, but I'm thinking possibly some velcro under the windshield if the helmet thing doesn't go too well. I may pair it with video from the handlebar mount, so I'd have to do post production anyway where the audio wouldn't be much an issue

Camera doesn't seem to record for more than about 30 minutes after 6 hours of charging
Did you have any problems like this?

yeah, that 2 hours recording time claim is a bunch of BS. I took it up to a canyon with me and it died before we got to the first stop. I lost it because i mounted it on my plates with double sided tape... vibration caused it to come off.. lost it on the fwy

Personally i dont like it. a gopro 960 is only what? below 100$ used probably. Its so much more enjoying watching HD on your TV from your rides with your friends imo . memories are best when in high quality, but if this is your only option, cus of low money then i understand, but if not it is worth offering the extra money on a real action camera.
