I made a review of my Ninjette

I figure you guys are the most likely to give me crap or call out BS in my video. So opinions are welcome good or bad.

Good review! I have to same problem, the tank needs to be hunched way higher to fit your legs (like the new CBR250, fit perfect on it @ 6'3"). It's pretty much the only thing I don't like about the bike. Not being vertically challenged sucks...sometimes.

Well Done! Nice review.

Talking about the cheapness of the gauge. I had a manufacturers defect that ended up cracking the plastic on the gauge. I took it to the dealer (It developed a hairline crack at around 2000-2500 mile range) I saw it at night because the light was shining through the crack. I showed it to them when it first started to crack and they were thinking it might have been something I did. I then took them inside and where they had a brand new one on the showroom floor that had started to crack with virtually 0 miles. They ordered a replacement right away. While waiting for the replacement, the crack ended up getting larger, cracked the plastic lense on the speedo and then a crack started towards the RPM gauge. I don't have the pic with me here, but I can post it later if anyone needs to see it. I mention this because your's is showing the same signs that mine did. Keep an eye on the plastic around the bezel where the black plastic is dull, that is where it will likely develop the cracks. I believe it is a problem with the plastic molding process.

Yeah, the guages definitely suck. Mine's a 09, and the lens over the gas guage is already hazed up. Took it apart to try to clean it out...nothing to clean. The lens itself appears to be etched or something, Im thinking the sunlight cooked the coating on the inside of the lens.

Would go Koso, but those things are too expensive, so for now....ill just deal with it

A fair review. A good job of addressing the myth of the 250 being too slow or too light. I agree with your comments about the fit and finish. My gauge cluster for instance, does not sit flush on one side and there is a bit of a gap where it connects to the bike (anyone else have this issue?). Aside from that, I agree that this is a very likeable bike.

Naw, I worked yesterday. And they died.

But in all fairness, they died hours before I got there.

Justin that a very good video... I think it'll help new buyers...

I think it's more fun to ride a small bike hard, than to ride a big bike slow... The more I ride my bike the more I love her...

That was definitely worth the watch, thanks for such a great review! I have the same problem with the paint on the triple tree and my keys. The main thing I dislike about my ninjette is the gas tank curve you mentioned. Since I'm a tall rider, and this was the only sportbike model I've ever ridden, I didn't realize how big a difference it really makes in comfort until I went to a local dealer and sat on a few popular models. I'm really hoping my rearset adjusters I'll be buying from the a&l GB will fix that for me.

Every time anyone think of all the negative things about the bike or what could have been "better". Just remind yourself how much you paid for the bike.

how many bikes have you owned in your life ? I would like to know because what bikes are you comparing this bike with when you mention the word "cheap".

A review is not always about comparison. This review posted is killar's personal opinion from evaluating the Ninja on its own merit. Granted, it's not a premium priced bike and you cannot expect perfection but the MSRP on this Ninja new is not exactly "cheap" laundry money for most of us either. Despite what the bike costs, you shouldn't ignore certain shortcomings if your goal is a fair honest review. I think killar did a good job of that. No motorcycle is perfect and this Ninja is no different. I don't think this is scathing criticism in anyway. Other issues people have mentioned here such as a cracked gauge or hazing shouldn't be overlooked just because of the price tag on this bike.

This is the first motorcycle I've owned, but I know lacking fit and finish when I see them. It's not the first time people or even magazines have criticized the gauges on this bike. I overlook these factors not because of what I paid for the bike but because as a whole the bike is as the reviewer pointed out, so "likeable". It's no big deal. I just go out and enjoy the ride.

Awsome review man. You hit all the best points and from a presenter point of view, you have a very crisp voice and spoke clearly and concisely.

As for mods, I know you said you werent insterested in modding it but what about some seat adjustments or rearsets so your knees arent so high up? I have that issue and it's the only mod I intend on looking into.

Really good review man. I definitely wish the windshield was better as you mentioned.

Two comments: I'm 5'11" and my legs fit in the tank perfectly so you guys must be huge. Also, I definitely wouldn't call the lack of a gear indicator a fatal flaw. They're sort of unnecessary, especially when you can quickly know what gear you're in based on speed and RPMs.

your bike is ugly

you need to tuck more when at highway speeds

gear indicator? you serious?

250 ninjas are cheap bikes, not quality bikes. be happy that it starts.

motorcycle key and perhaps a small fob... never another key with it.

wanting to go from 60 to 90 with some actual throttle response is fun, not ridiculous

passing aliens in the corners? w00t!
