I've heard good things about it and have been wanting to get one for my vortex but haven't pulled the trigger yet. It seems like the last time I looked into them they were a lot more expensive. Either way it's pretty cool.

That's the first thing I got as an accessory to my helmets.

I used to have glasses that had transitions lenses.
It wasn't really the best for glasses because they didn't work as well inside a car, but that option would rock for a helmet. That's the perfect application. Get it! |

I use that shield on my RS-1 helmet.
Along with being a Transition Lens, it is very high quality with better optics than any other lens I have seen. The first one I had got damaged (non bike related) and forked out for a replacement. It is worth the money (you can buy helmet that cost less than that lens)

I have one on my Bell Vortex Flying Tiger and love it!
My riding school highly recommended it if one of us ended up buying a Bell helmet. Definitely worth it if your willing to fork over the money. Hope you like it too Yasko! |

I just got a photochromatic pinlock insert. Will see how it performs tomorrow. Hopefully it works as well as a photochromatic visor.

You should 'exercise' your transition shield.
When you first get it put it out in full sunlight until it goes fully dark, then cover it with a towel until it goes completely clear, and repeat for about an hour or two. This will make the shield 'transition' faster.
