Lightbulb The riding community

I'm just wondering on what your guys's thoughts are on the riding community. It's great around where I live so far. Even on my little 50cc scooter I get waves from people on all different types of street bikes. It's great to see how everyone gets along here. I'm going to college pretty soon and I'm worried about if the riding community is different other places in the U.S. since I'll be going from a low-populated town to high-populated college town. I really want to go somewhere where I can share the same passion for riding with other people.

I went to college in Boston and I would have to say it wasn't a scooter friendly city. Drivers will run you off the road, give you brake jobs, and tailgate you without even knowing it.

I live in a biker town now (with 3 colleges). It has a big sport bike community (mostly stunters and other squids on those pesky GSXRs) but the Harley guys will shoot spitballs at you and won't buy you a drink at any of the Harley bars.

If you want to take your scooter with you to college I suggest one of the all girls colleges. They will still give you shyt but you might be able to take them in a fight.

Haha I'm not going to take my scooter to college because it's basically my whole family's scooter, but I am going to get a Ninja soon hopefully. On a side note, I blow those pesky soccer moms away on my scooter when they cut in front of me

Also, scooters are as popular as sliced bread in the college town a few hours away from where I live so I doubt anyone would give me a hard time if I had one. In fact, they'd probably give me a hard time if I didn't. And I'm pretty sure I could take on a girl in a fight with 3 years of boxing on my side
