CONFEDERATE Motors has unveiled the design of its ‘C2 P-51 Fighter’.

The new bike is a development of its P120 Fighter which has an aluminum frame and a 1966cc V-twin motor that produces 160hp and 145lb.ft of torque.

The P-51 features new cylinder heads, barrels and valve covers and has over 18kgs taken off the weight of the crankcases alone.

This will be the first bike Confederate Motors has produced since Pierre Terblanche joined them earlier this year.

Terblanche is a motorcycle designer who has worked for Cagiva, Ducati, Piaggio and Norton. His designs include the Hypermotard, Multistrada and the controversial 749/999, amongst others.

In their release video, Terblanche explains: “What we’d like to do with the new bike is improve it in all ways. Make it more beautiful, exciting…”

Only 31 examples of the P-51 Fighter will be available when they go on sale in June/July of 2014. Expect the price to be eye-watering, the P120 cost £46,000.
