Group Buy: Area P Race System (Completed!)

Based on this thread...
http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=62447

Kerry, the owner of Area P, has graciously offered a group buy discount that will only be available here on Ninjette.org for their New Race System that was recently released. Full details on the system can be found here...
http://www.areapnolimits.com/product...-Race-2008.php

For this group buy there will be limitations as to what will be offered. These are the terms... please read before making your commitment before putting your name on the GB list.

1. Discount of $50.00 and free shipping within the lower 48 states off their already discounted from retail prices listed on their website. International, Canada and Hawaii orders will receive a $25.00 credit towards their shipping costs.

2. New Race System only

3. Minimum of 5 systems to qualify for group buy

4. Three weeks maximum time period for group buy starting on 10mar11, which means the last day to sign up for the group buy under these terms will be midnight 31mar11, Hawaii time.

The listed prices on the website for the systems offered is...
US$575.00 Full stainless steel system with 12" Carbon Fiber Muffler
US$550.00 Full stainless steel system with 12" Stainless Steel Muffler
US$595.00 Full stainless steel system with 18" Carbon Fiber Muffler

So, that means your cost of the offered systems, including the $50 discount and free shipping if you live in the lower 48 states, (if I did my math right... don't have enough fingers and toes to count that high) is as follows...

-US$525.00 Full stainless steel system with 12" Carbon Fiber Muffler

-US$500.00 Full stainless steel system with 12" Stainless Steel Muffler

-US$545.00 Full stainless steel system with 18" Carbon Fiber Muffler

I volunteered to head up this GB, so if you would like to participate, please add your name to the list below. Remember, we need at least 5 to make this a go, so spread the word to other forums you may visit of the offer that is only being extended by Area P on Ninjette.

Once we have 5 signed up, I will process the names to Area P and they will assemble the orders. Payment and shipping details will be done directly with Area P. If there are at least 10 people that purchase, Kerry has pledged a $250 donation to Ninjette to help defray operating costs to run this site.

If you are interested in participating, cut and paste the list and add your name to it as your indication to commit to these terms. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask it in this thread and I'll do my best to answer them or get answers for you when I don't know the answers. (happens often )

So come on... if you've been dreaming of a new full exhaust system, here's a chance to get one of the very best (if not the very best, IMHO) for the 250R at a very rare discounted price. That Area P provides excellent customer support before and after your purchase is a plus that cannot be put into perspective with regards to your purchasing dollars. Please keep in mind the 31mar11 deadline.

T,

Just to let you know, the question has already been forwarded to Kerry, but it seems he must have employment other than posting on a ninjette forum. I'm sure this point will be clarified once he has a chance to read his email.

thanks for signing up.

My pleasure to help all the entities in this, so it seemed like a good idea to me to get involved.

I hope we have the numbers to make this happen. Please remember pass on the word to any that you feel might be interested.

I'm sorry, the special GB is only on the exhaust system. But if you do purchase a Jet Kit, we can include it in the exhaust system box with no additional shipping charges (still free shipping).

Funny you mention this, because I already thought, "Well, even if there is no discount on the jet kit, I still need it and it would be free shipping." LOL

if shipping and import tax were not so high to get the exhaust into the damn country i would seriously consider buying this set up! even though i already have an exhaust from them... i love the AP exhaust so much! and people keep picking at it on the road... darn car almost took the exhaust off the other day... put a small ding in the alu end cap, and scratched the AP LOGO!

thankfully it was not as bad as the time the $!@#* fat ass harley drove into my exhaust and actually shattered the CF. fixed it though, and has been working perfectly.

anyone considering to get an exhaust system, its a super highly recommended product! you wont regret it... even after spending about $900 for mine (exhaust + shipping + ludicrous tax) i don't regret having ordered this exhaust one second.

GL on the GB!

ps, for those of you wanting to seat a passenger, i believe that you loose the right back foot peg, due to the high position of the exhaust, i could be wrong though~

will the price go down if there are more buyers? Say 10 buyers would be an additional $50?

I defer to Kerry to answer that one, but that was not discussed when he and I were setting up the terms for the GB.

I am assuming that the 18" is the quiet core muffler. Listed at $545.

What are the usual shipping charges to Canada? What would my total be after that $25 credit?

Don't count me in, gotta get finances before I commit and need to know the exact cost. Thanks.

i wanna do this..but it will tke me roughly 4 to 6 weeks to get the cash together...which is why i made the summer remark..i'm waiting to start police academy and we are on one income for the last little bit and it has put a damper on our bank account...

so my question is..when will the payment be needed?? end of march i assume like any GB i have been involved in...i would hate to have voiced the want to do this but not currently have the capitol to do so and have it falter..or to miss it if there is enough interest..would def leave me salty lol

Kerry would need to answer this. I'm sure he'll answer it by tomorrow evening, if not sooner.

Once you find the money, commit by adding your name to the list. Until then, no one is committed to anything.

Chris, if the timing is not right, the timing is not right.

It would suck, though as Area P discounts rarely happen. This is maybe the second or third time I've seen a GB from AP for the Ninja 250 in the last 2-3 years.

The 18" muffler is the "quieter" of the options and produces the most power. But do not confuse it with our standard system that incorporates the "quiet core muffler". They are not the same and do not sound the same. Sound bytes are on our website. Please click on the link in the beginning of the thread for more info.

Depending on where you are in Canada, shipping costs are around $65 (+/-) Credit applied in this example, shipping would end up costing you $40 (+/-).

I would be up for it if it didn't mean having to remove my passenger pegs

If you guys don't get enough people (which is probably unlikely), let me know if the rules can't be changed a little bit for the (non-race) 18" quiet core exhaust

np... I just didn't want people to get confused.

One more guys!! Looks like this has a good chance of making the quota of 5 to get the ball rolling. When/if we get to 5, I will be contacting each one of you for needed details that I will then pass on to Kerry at AP.

Out of curiosity, what kind of shipping period could one expect on this?

4-6 months... like any other exhaust system you order in a group buy.

seriously, when I spoke to Kerry about this system availability, here is the answer I received...

we have some systems assembled in stock and ready to ship. But we probably have another 100 sets of components built and simply awaiting assemble-to-order. Normally it only takes us one day (sometimes the same day) to do the final assembly.

how's that to show how committed this company is to provide fast service for their customers and to not keep them waiting for their order?

come on, guys... we only need one more commitment before the group order can move on this offer.
