2003 ZZR EX250-H Brakes
Hey, first timer here!
So I recently acquired a 2003 EX250H, also first bike, and was looking to replace the rear brake pads on it to start... And let the mad house begin. As you can see in the photo The pads I ordered (FA141 EBCs) are designed to fit the EX250F, or the Ninja 250R. I had no idea that the pads would be a different fit for the Canadian version of the bike. The old ones are the smaller set. So there I am, sitting in my driveway puzzled. I went to the local bike shop, and he had no idea. We matched up the shape of my old rear pads to those found on some ATV or something... not very promising. I did some more digging online, and found a reference to how the ZZR shared some similarities with the Ninja 500r 94'-09'... low and behold a search on eBay for pads for that bike bring up the EXACT matching pad appearance from my bike. So before I order a set of EBC Organics for the 500r from a real website... Does anyone on here have any other info for model/part numbers for the EX250H brakes... If I don't get a reply, I'm gonna go for it and see what happens. EDIT: Checked the EBC catalog from their site, and it looks like the ZZR (EX250 H 1-13) is for years 90'-01'. Mine is an '03 but the pictures of pads from various sites all seem to look the same dimensions. Thoughts? Last futzed with by Diztruxion; June 24th, 2015 at 07:16 PM. Reason: More info |

My 2001 looks like the pads on the left. I was debating on getting new pads soon and was just going to Ebay it.

By pads on the left, I'm guessing you mean the ones that aren't black (#1/#3)?
If so, wait before you eBay. I'll let you know how my luck goes with the ninja 500r pads. I don't trust the $15 chinese pads. |

From what I'm gathering.. You have a 2003 Kawasaki ZZR 250..?
If so, Brembo recommends 07KS04xx for the rear where xx designates the compound. xx = 32 for carbon ceramic, etc... |

I do! Also, those most certainly look like the correct brake shape. Thanks a lot NinjaGirl!
Still going to investigate the NinjaR EX500D |

The 86-96 Kawasaki Ninja 500 uses the same 07KS04xx pads for the rear as the zzr250 does. I can't verify other years but that should give you a place to start looking.
I can add them in with my next shipment if you like. List is $32.50 but I'll throw in free shipping for that price. |

Solution!
The rear brakes are EBC FA67/3's (for Organic). Picked up at set at a local dealership, will be bedding them in this weekend... sigh 250kms later... |
