Xenon Bulbs
I was just gonna order some new Xenon headlamp replacement bulbs to get a little brighter light on my ninja without having to do the HID upgrade which is far more expensive. I am looking at a couple different ones and all of them have good reviews. Anybody else done this to theres? And does anybody know whether they are a 2 or 3 prong light?

All the ones I have been looking at are H4 bulbs, which are 3 prong. The little guide says they fit my bike but I dunno? Because there is one H7 bulb but it is only a 2 prong??? Thats where I got lost.

what guide? perhaps they are mixing up the previous generation? I changed my lights to HIDs and can confirm both my bulbs in my 08 250R were H7 bulbs.

Well on the website there is a thing where you click make, model, and year then it lists everything that fits your bike specifically or a universal fit i.e. tank pads. And they are all listing H4 bulbs that are 3 prong...with the exception of one H7 bulb that is 2 prong

the pregens use 1-h4 bulb. the 08/09 bikes use 2-h7 bulbs.

I got the pregen info from another 250 site and I can confirm the bulbs in my 08 are H7.
if you have an 08 bike, you will need H7 bulbs, which are 2 prong bulbs. |

Just a thought... have you seen this thread? http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=11236
for less than $10 more, you can have a complete HID setup. There is no comparison in light output between the two. |
