Can the windscreen be polished?
I noticed that if you use the wrong product to clean dead bugs of your windscreen, it damages the plastic by leaving small scratches. You can't feel them, but they leave hazy marks en swirls that are very noticeable in the sunlight.
I hate it. I want my windscreen to be shiny and transparent like new. Now I ruined it by trying to keep it clean    Does anyone know how to solve this problem? I already tried some polish for cars, but that didn't work. (makes sense, cars ain't plastic  )Does polish for plastic even exist? Is it even called polish? Please help me make my bike look new again. I believe it really makes a big difference in how the bike looks.

I hit mine with a buffing wheel once and it brought the shine back after my ex stupidly told me it wouldn't work even though I was trying to fix his googone etching that he also insisted wouldn't eat the plastic...

Do I need to remove the Kawasaki sticker before polishing? I'm debating just painting it black.

Polishing distorts the view through the wind screen doesn't it?
I wash my bike by letting the bugs soak with a soapy wet towl then gently wipe flip and wipe. Try not to scratch it in the first place Glad to here people have had success polishing!

I use Josh's technique, too. I have heard that hydrogen peroxide solution (3% from the drug store) works well to soften up bug guts.

 They hold owners club meetings in the phone booth around the corner... I've seen three of them on the road in 10 years of ownership, mine included. |

Just use this and keep going over it until it removes the scratches
http://www.meguiars.com.au/products/...r-trim/plastx/ Also you can use a buffer to speed up the process, but for amateur's the heat creates more problems. Just apply with a microfiber polishing pad by hand |
