Click/Pop response from handlebars upon unloading front wheel

Earlier today I noticed a clicking or popping noise when (I'm assuming) partially unweighting the front wheel, such as when going over large speedbumps shaped like

/-----------\

if that makes any sense. My throttle handgrip feels a little loose, but I can't duplicate the feeling when stopped. Anyone else encountered this problem or has anything I can check to troubleshoot?

It could be one of your lines rubbing/catching against something, Check your brake, throttle, clutch, and choke lines.

Checked those, seem fine. I have been able to duplicate it. If I roll forward and pull on the front brake to make the nose dive, I feel it. It reverberates throughout the bike, and feels like a pretty solid "thunk".

I don't think so, I didn't see any fluids or buildup anywhere in the fork/tree area, looking fro above and below, but I've never seen what leaky forks look like.

if you don't see any fluid anywhere, they're likely not leaking. If they're leaking, fluid would be all over your rotor and fairing, and the shiny sections of the fork.

Brilliant! Looks to be the same issue... the head nut is the big one in the center right?

To tighten the steering head berings you need to remove the top triple clamp and tighten the big castleated nut underneath. Then put the top triple back on and tourqe the big top nut.
