What browser are you using? Can you try a different one? Vex's pics are all linked to a photobucket site, so they should be pretty reliable. I'm wondering if you are blocked from photobucket for some reason, but trying a different browser may confirm or rule that out.

Are you using a mac or a pc? On a pc, the very top of this window you're in should say something like:

"OK Please help! - ninjette.org - Windows Internet Explorer"

or

"OK Please help! - ninjette.org - Mozilla Firefox"

You can also pull down the Help menu from the menu bar, and it should have an option for "about internet explorer" or "about mozilla firefox".

Sorry, I had a brain fart and forgot I could just look and see what browser you are using. You are using Internet Explorer 7.0 on a Windows XP machine. Something's not working right if you can't see those pics. What I'd suggest is to try Firefox to see if it is a browser problem (something wrong with internet explorer) or a network problem (which will show up as a problem in Firefox as well).

To install firefox (it's free), just go here:

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

and click the free download button, and run the file. You can choose every default option on the install, no need to do anything other than click "OK" a few times during the install. Once you've installed firefox, try and go to ninjette.org using it and see if you still can't see any pictures.

In the meantime, can you see the pic below, or do you see a red x? (first one is an external image on Smugmug, the second one is an external image on Photobucket)

If you see the first pic and not the second pic, I think we've identified the culprit. Your browser is likely fine, but your work internet connection is blocking access to photobucket. Installing Firefox would probably not change anything anyway. If you try to see the same threads from home, though, I'm hoping you won't have the same issue.

What happens if you just try and go to the photobucket site itself?

No worries, tracking these things down can be fun at times.

If you can see the snowman, that means that you can see *some* photobucket pictures. "Some" is always harder in computerese than "all" or "none". But I'm sure we'll figure it out. How about this pic:

Current theory is that the spaces in the filename may be the culprit for your browser...

Well, that explains it, does the Sonic firewall give any more specific information about why it is blocking it in its error message? Seems a little hokey that it's configured to block some photobucket pics and not others. I'd venture that at one point in the past there was a NSFW image that someone had loaded to photobucket that the admin somehow came across, and they blocked that particular photobucket server, which happens to be the same one that Vex has his pics on.

Unfortunately, it looks like there's nothing wrong with Photobucket, and nothing wrong with ninjette.org; but I wish that weren't the case so I'd be able to recommend a fix. Sounds like the only thing you can do if you want it fixed is to talk to whoever does the admin on your Sonic firewall and ask why that server is blocked and if there is any way for them to unblock it, either for everyone or even just for you.

Sounds like you have the same problem. There is a firewall or other type of web filter at your location that is blocking access to photobucket. (More specifically, it is blocking sites that are categorized as online storage, and photobucket is in that category).

Unfortunately there's nothing I or any other website operator can do to fix that, you need to find out who at your location is blocking you and why. Good luck!

Is there a gallery function Alex? I wouldn't mind making duplicates of the pictures and moving the URLs for my DIY's

Yup, pull down the quick links menu and select Pictures & Albums. You can create as many different galleries as you like. Right now there's a limit of 100 pics per gallery (but you can create multiple galleries).

If you do start to use it and come up against any limits (picture size, amount of storage, etc), let me know, we have quite a bit of headroom to expand if necessary.

Ok. Sorry about the lack of pictures to those firewalled people. I started a gallery in here for my DIY pictures and started re-directing the URL's on my DIY's.

It would seem the maintenance DIY's are the common referenced ones (ie. the induction related threads) and so I hit those first. Sorry again about the lack of good reading for those of you who are procrastinating at work
