Is it just me or does it seem like the number of riders in the Boston area went up quite a bit in the past year or two?

I agree, I notice as soon as it hits 50 bikes are on the road, but that could also be because when you get a bike you notice other bikes more?? Maybe, maybe not?

I've only lived in the Boston area for about 7 months, so I really couldn't say. Not that many people ride where I'm from - the riding season in Minnesota is painfully short.

I'll have plenty of free time in two weeks if anyone wants to go for a ride. I plan to spend my upcoming vacation time shopping around for another bike.

I would love to ride! The only thing is experienced folks may not want to ride with me until I get enough practice, I might slow you down!

Finally rode my bike on a street, first time in my life hitting 55!!! I know that's nothing to those non-newbies but I couldn't believe it. I enjoyed it. I thought I would be scared to go fast.Still need to work on stop and go-ing. My fiance said i was too wobbly when going again because i was only putting one foot down verses 2. Not on purpose just not thinking.

Anywho, i'm super excited hopefully will practice some more this week.

I've been out a bit! I need to find better places to ride though... I keep going up and down Rte. 1 but the traffic is a bit too heavy for my liking. Lately I've been exploring some side roads in Sharon. Have you gotten out to enjoy the lovely weather yet?

I've been riding a few times from the south shore to Boston and back.

The highway is soooooo much fun. Traffic in the city is a tad scary!

Around the Lake is nice. Bay Rd. all the way down to Taunton is good. Any back road with no number is fun. You can go all the way to the cape on back streets and it would be safe and fun.

nah man I barely put 300 miles on mines since I got it but I like rt9 down to meet up down there if you know nice areas to ride thru.

He might have been asking about me (also Rob!). I know exactly where you're talking about, as I worked in Westborough a couple years ago and used to take Lyman St. to work (a pleasant ride), but I haven't been down that way recently.

Seems like there is a little crew of people around here. I'm interested in a ride one day when I'm free. @rcruz17 I put around 300 miles on mine too. Commuting adds up though.

I'm usually off thur-sat unless I pick up overtime I was driving around castle island last night late night the night was awesome.

Nice, night riding is pretty awesome. I take mine by revere beach and nahant beach at night sometimes. Watch out for the sand though. Its too quiet at night sometimes, still gotta be alert.

Typically, the only time I can ride is on the weekends when I'm free. I'm busy this weekend, but we can plan a ride some other time.

my night rides start at 11PM I may have enough energy for tonight If I know ahead of time I can go home on my break and grab a change of clothes...next sunday also but I basically get off at 11PM everytime...
