Right Turn Signals Staying Solid

I bought this bike about a month ago, 2010 Ninja 250, the guy had dropped it at one point and the front right turn signal was broke off. My new ones just came in and I figured once I hooked up the new front right signal I would be good to go. I hooked up the front right one, and both on the right side just stays solid. The left works fine as always. I even unhooked the old rear right one and hooked up a new one, still staying solid. I tried putting slight bends in the prongs on the connectors, I tried wiggling all the wires. What else can I do?.. any ideas? If it was the relay or fuse was bad then none of the turn signals would be working, correct? This is driving me nuts. Thanks.

Perhaps check that you have the correct wattage and type of globe in the new one. If it’s the incorrect wattage or an LED it may cause what you report to happen.

Thanks for the reply.. I was out there messing with it and I was only turning the bike into the ON position and the left side was still blinking so I didn’t think anything of it, but for the hell of it I decided to start the bike, low and behold the right side was now blinking. I ended up replacing the left front turn signal as well because the new ones I had got were tinted, so I didn’t want it to be mismatched... once i installed the new one on the left side, it as well was staying solid when the bike was in the ON position but working when the bike was running, which is all that matters, but I guess it’s something to do with the turn signals themselves, like you are saying. They look OEM but I know they’re not. Wish I would have started the bike sooner,

What you describe can happen if the Volts from the battery are a bit low an the flasher unit doesn’t heat up quickly enough. Could be that your battery has slightly low volts that rise when you start the bike and the charging system kicks in. Still might pay to check for correct wattage of the bulbs though?

I notice this effect on cold days, 35F and below. Turn-signals get lazy or stuck due to cold. Got a solid-state electronic flasher and it works find 100% of time!
