Battery to choose

So I need a battery for my bike. The one taken out and does not start the bike says YTX9-BS.

Now I looked at ebay and say ChromeBattery has a YTX9-BS but the dimensions are much smaller. Instead of 6x3.5x4 they are 5x4x3.

Will this matter?

Also I looked at this one:

http://www.batterystuff.com/powerspo.../sYTX9-BS.html

I'm not sure which one to get, will sizing matter? Because the chromebattery model is 30 bucks.

If they are both listed as YTX9-BS it will almost certainly fit fine. I'd guess that the estimated sizing is incorrect.

$30 for a battery...

Personally I would caution you from purchasing an off brand battery. A quality battery that won't leave you stranded in a few weeks will cost at least double that.

Thanks for the info! I would not mind going for the cheaper model if I can save myself a couple of bucks. The battery that has been taken out didn't even have a name on it.

Went to autozone and they wanted 75 bucks for a third party brand where I have to fill, then buy a 40 dollar charger to get it started. I just want to practice on my bike already and not waste any more time, summer is almost gone

You don't want a battery you have to fill. Seems there is a good reason for that other than possible spillage somewhere. Look for a sealed battery and a rule of thumb is the warranty period. If it comes with a 30 day warranty then there's probably a good reason for that.

Edit: Looks like the Scorpion one from your link has a 1 year warranty. Maybe it would be ok.

Yeh the scorpion and the Chromebattery models are sealed and ready to go.

The chrome one has an 18 month warranty too:

Impressive warranty. I wish they had the warranty details on their site. I'd want to know that prior to purchase.

Looks legit. I'd be interested to hear updates on it once installed and you have some history with it.

Well I ordered one from ebay, the same seller has a store there and they had free shipping. I will let you know when I get it as I will need it to bring my bike home.

Bumping this up. I bought a new battery a few months back and finally had it installed yesterday. The battery is taller than OEM and your battery lid will not close over it. I will update on it's performance as time comes.

It's amazing how much the battery price has gone up.
