HID PnP Kit With Angel Eyes

too late to put in comments, but ill post up the pics for now

added the comments now~

my bike went thru a small "stripping" after i dropped her a couple months ago, decided to kep her naked. made this DIY quite easy. but that means that for yall that were to install this on the full faring bike would need to read up another DIY if you are not familiar with the faring removal.

OEM headlamp out

HID kit headlamp in... took all of about 2 minutes, hehe, beat that you full faring people!

this is the Low and High beam controller. there is no splicing required, just plug them in

one into the low beam, and the other set into the high beam. black (ground) into Black! im not sure what happens if you get this back to front, might end up with the beams back to front, in which case i would suggest that its swapped the right way around.

seal and tape these plugs in securely, both to keep water out, and also so that they don't accidentally slip out. electrical tape would do the job.

the other end plugs into the controller

here its plugged in, next step:

the 2 inverters for the angel eye bulbs.

with the indonesian model bikes, you can hook this up the "caution" light, but that doesnt exist in the US model bikes, you would need to pull in or splice a new power line, possibly with a switch that you can fix to the handlebar or somewhere. not sure where would be the best place to splice it in, since you want it to turn off when the bike is off. any electricians in the house?

plug the other end into the provided wire that comes out of the headlamp

there, the angel eyes are working.
these are blue only, i think you can also request other colors. and i have read an article where they are starting to introduce multi colored angel eyes, that you can set with a remote. something to look forward to in the near future i guess.

from the controller there is the power cable, with a fuse built in.

that is hooked up to the positive (+) end of the battery.

the ground cables are on the tip of the other 2 cables that come out of the controller that plugs into the HID balast.

plug in the balast.

o ya, make sure its grounded. i just fixed them to the metal headlamp frame that i fabricated. with the full faring bikes, you can fix it (securely) to most parts of the bike that is in contact with the bikes frame, thats all grounded (-)

plug these in

these are the controllers for the Low/High beam shutters in the projector.

plug in the power from the balast to the plugs that come out of the headlamp.

there are 4 cables coming out of each projector (total 8). 2 cables are the (+) and (-) from the balanst for the HID bulb. 1 cable is for the angel eyes, and 1 cable is for the low/high beam shutter.

off,

angel eyes "aka caution light"

low beam on,

High beam... ya, barely noticeable in the pics, can see it much better on the youtube video i posted.

http://youtu.be/sMfT26x57QE

still dont know how to imbed videos. and still too lazy to read it up, lol...

and again in the dark that i took when i got home from dinner, hehe

so basically im posting this up so the person that ordered this headlamp from me can look it up when it arrives and have an easy way to follow some sort of instructions step by step.

obviously you will need to deal with all the farings and where to fix the various balasts, controllers and the inverter. most people here use silicon glue and glue them into the inside of the farings where they dont get in the way. be creative, hehe.

thats all for now, hope these pictures speak for themselves, hehe

This is so cool!!

Where did you get it and how much?

Also, do the HALO rings change colors? And can you get bi-xenon so both lights are on and there is an actuated cut off for high beam?

I think it would be pretty cool if all of those parts and wires could be stripped from their respective casings and put into a box with only the relevant wires coming out to connect the thing and possibly mount it to the frame in one piece.

been trying to upload 2 HD vids onto youtube since last night, but the damn slow internet upload speed here is giving me grief! you can see from there that both lights are on (for both high, and low beam) and that it has the proper projector cutoff mechanism. so both lights are low, and high beams.

will post the link once it eventually uploads later.

going to work now

around $550 for the complete set, including a new OEM reflector.

about $300 without the reflector, so just all the HID kit parts.
