GP1 slip on
I'm seriously wanting a Jordine GP1 slip on, I want to get rid of the canister look. I see some bikes without any kind of extension from fairing. Was wondering two things; until I can afford the slip on can I take my canister off without harm, and two would the GP1 require any modifications. I've seen it on a couple of 250's on the net but most on 600's.

By canister, you mean remove the exhaust and only leave the mid-pipe/headers? I'd say no...just leave the canister on until you buy the GP1. No canister will provide no back pressure, which is not good. Also, the GP1 will make it sound kinda like someone farting in a bath tub, or a helicopter lol
Have you considered the MGP Growler or Leo Vince Corsa?

I have the GP1 full exhaust, and it is ridiculously loud.
Like, I can hear the bike coming from a kilometer away. I live in India, so noise isn't a problem, but you might run into trouble where you are. Just my two cents.

I just want the slip on. I'm assuming its not just a flaired piece of metal and there are some internals to keep back pressure.

It has a db-killer type deal inside it, so it does have back pressure, but still, you should really hear it before you buy it.

Do you know of any other shortys? I'm definitely going in that direction. Not even considering anything past the passenger peg.

I really really like the flush boxed exhaust that's surrounded by fairing.

There's the MGP Growler, which as far as i know is also really loud, and you can always fabricate your own if you're that determined.
