Jet or Shim?

ok so i finally got my KnN filter for the bike and i was wondering if i should just get the jet kit or should i shim the needle (or needles? =/ )
if shim what are the sizes of the washers i know i can get at radio shack i know i have seen them before but i cant seem to find them again and if i do shim which ones should i shim
right now i have a Jardine RT-5 full exhaust on my bike and im planning on using the pod filters and removing all the crazy thats going on in there...
just wondering what you guys think i SHOULD do thanks for any help

Idk, but in regards to the radioshack washers, you can get an assortment pack that has 100 or so of different sizes, and you just use the smallest one that slides down it all the way (2nd smallest washer I believe).
