ADV is out there!

New bike: '14 Honda CB500X
Dimensions are super close to my '06 ninja (wheelbase is 0.9" longer, width is 4.4" more, length is 2.4" more), with 1" bigger wheels and way more upright positioning. Ninja is currently with my dad, who is having a blast doing some little adjustments because my mom is going to learn to ride on it.

Benefits include:
-EFI (hooray!)
-increased ability to carry myself and my wife up and down our mountain at a reasonable rate of speed (we are not small. the ninja struggled.)
-two motorcycle household (next step: 3 moto household!)
-can start to do some silly things to the ninja without worrying about commuter duty

Niggles:
-stock grips were super buzzy and my hands would go numb on trips of 45m+. Replaced them with Oxford sports grips to increase control sensitivity, but I think I'm gonna end up throwing on some grip puppies to try to negate buzz altogether.
-Lean angles. T_T
-SUUUUUUUPER tall bike. Had to lower it using roaringtoyz adjustable link, will be adjusting it back up bit by bit as I get more capable.

Naw, ADV is right here.

(Seriously had some KLR rider ask who I bribed at the DMV to get this plate.)

I do see that I said hello to you when you first signed up back in January. So now I'll say howdy on this new adventure. You're the second rider on here (aside from myself) who went to the Honda. They're great bikes.

Hope to see you around, neighbor. I know some great goat and hard pack dirt roads in the Sierra that would make for a fun day trip if you want to go explore a bit.

Hahahaha, those plates are awesome! And Kudos on being Iron Butt... does that say you did it on a 50cc????? That must be quite a story...

I'm new to soft-roading, but that sounds like fun.

Who is the 3rd?

Michvin also got one.

Hahaha, no, I'm not that crazy. The 50CC is "50 hours Coast to Coast", rode from San Diego, CA to Jacksonville Beach, FL on my Ninja. The story is linked before through my achievement.
