Exclamation 2005 ninja 250

Q: CAN YOU EASILY SWAP THE FUEL TANK FROM A DIFFERENT MODEL?
~ I HAVE A 2005 NINJA 250, I HAVE GONE THROUGH TO TANKS OVER THE YEARS BECAUSE OF RUST DAMAGE. I AM HAVING A HARD TIME FINDING A REPLACEMENT IN GOOD CONDITION, NO RUST INSIDE!
WOULD IT BE A GOOD IDEA TO FIND A DIFFERENT TANK TO FIT?

any pre-gen tank should work.

Hi and welcome.

You can use tank from 1988-2007 Ninja 250. Tanks have specific points where they bolt to frame. And have specific mounting points for fairings.

You can use pretty much any tank you want if you cut-n-weld as necessary so the mounting points line up. Might also need to relocate petcock with brazing.
