Center Stand Bending

Has anyone ever experienced the center stand bending on them. I recently transferred to a college where placing my bike on the center stand is a must because of how the streets are sloped. I just came home from the library and as I placed the bike on the center stand i noticed how uneven and how difficult it was to place it on the center stand. Upon further inspection I see that the center stand is bent and it now rubbing against my rear wheel when in the up position.
Ruled out getting back into since it would be impossible to ride home if that were the case. Just curious if this has happened to anyone before.

Lightweight

Just a thought but the 250's stand may not be strong enough for sitting on bike when used.

Quite possible, haven't had a chance to remove and examine the center stand since finals week is approaching at my school.
