Woodcraft clipon height question

I am looking into getting the woodcraft clipons, but i am unsure of what height size to get. I have read a DIY on how to install them by kkim, but i had thought they were to be installed above the tripple. In the DIY kkim Installed his underneath and used a 2 1/2" rise.

Would a lower rise clamp create clearance issues?
I was hoping to get the lowest rise offered and install them on top
Of the tripple.

Thanks guys,
Cole

The Clip-On's that Woodcraft sells specifically for the New Gen 250R are designed to go under the triple tree, but actually end up sitting a little lower than a no-rise clip on mounted above the triple tree.

Having been said, if you purchase a no rise clipon with the correct ID for the fork tubes and mount them above the triple, you should be fine, but there are no guarantees! However, it may be some ease to hear that some clip-ons designed for the 250R (Namely the KTC and a few others) are specifically designed to be mounted above the triple tree.
