I have the boots from Cycle Gear and love them very comfortable I don't know about durability. For the price I don't care. The sizing runs on the small side.

Can't speak for the boots but the fox gear is good, that's actually a pretty crazy deal on it too. While it's designed for the dirt pretty much everything (that would make sense to be) on it is fairly impact resistant. It doesn't slide as well as a leather/textile jacket but it gets the job done for sure.

Good to know I'm going go with the Fox, now just gotta figure out sizing, being tall and skinny it's always hard to get the proper fit. |

Hmm, explains the price. I hate knock offs with a passion though. It's your money and it's pretty cheap you can try it and see how it is when you get it if you want. You should know early on if you can trust it or not to protect you.

Sizing is indeed wonky. The EU size is molded into the sole and seems accurate, but the tag sewn into the boots has the wrong US size. Buy one size larger than you normally wear. I'd buy 'em.

Idk who cyclegear are trying to fool; I don't think those boots have ever been $150. I got mine 2 years ago and they were like $40 in-store, lol.

well that was quick my TMS armor came to today, it fits perfect and seems like it'll offer just as much protection as the $150 fox. Just thew it on didn't do any adjustments yet.

Right, that reminds me of an experiment I read about. A store listed a product for $99, it barley sold then they listed in on sale for $150 normally $200 and it sold like crazy.

The way I look at knock off gear: Would you buy a $100 helmet that was an "Aria" instead of an actual "Arai"? Would you buy a $1500 "Kawazaki Ninjer 250" instead of a "Kawasaki Ninja 250"?
Sorry for getting all political, but people buying stuff like this is the exact reason why our country is in the shitter. Utilizing cheap overseas labor. Zero respect for intellectual property. Settling for low quality knock offs because it is cheaper. All this is the reason why companies like walmart have flourished and the guy who used to manage the independent general store is now a cashier at walmart making minimum wage. If you can't afford new name brand gear, then buy used. I'd trust my used Alpinestars boots over a set of knock off Sidi's any day of the week. Yes, something is better than nothing, but that something doesn't have to be a knock off. If you can't afford a Ducati, you don't buy a Hyosung and paint it red/white/green. |

I know, I agree. Just had 4 people lose their jobs at my company, because they're outsourcing their positions. I hate it. But this country was built on consumerism, it's what makes this country great...also not so great.
