I've been riding for a few months now, I've got a 2010 Ninja 250, awesome blue . I've done slip-on danmoto exhaust, drop in k&n, and LED tail. I am in the process of taking the bike apart to rejet myself, i am wishing now that i paid a shop to do it but oh well too late now. I ran into a problem getting the carb out, i decided im going to take the airbox out and just put pods on, i have the k&n one on the way. I figured im already jetting the bike might as well add pods to it. I was curious if there is any wiring inside the airbox or attached to it? I've got a lot of the bike taken apart already and I'm being impatient, im about to take a cut off wheel to the airbox to remove it..I just want to get this back together lol.

Thanks !

Wow, you didn't waste any time in getting to work on the bike, huh? Welcome to the site.

I got it back in like June but didnt start working on it for a month or two. I've still got mirrors, clutch/brake handles, and a lightbulb to put in. It seriously needs a bigger jet, i've got the DynoJet kit at home waiting for me to get the stupid carb out. Kinda wished I waited until next year and got the 300 lol.

I hope I can get it running after I took it apart lol

Haha, mine is still all stock, granted I just got it at the end of September. I really want to start modding it, but at the same time, I plan on it being my daily commuter, so I'm a little hesitant to jump in and then have no way to do my 80+ mile daily commute.

If i were you, since it's your daily commuter, I would have a shop do the major work for you. I know for sure im going to have my sprocket installed by a shop. It's a PITA to get the old one off.

Yeah, but I REALLY enjoy doing the work myself. Plus I love seeing my family's freaked-out/agitated expressions when I walk in the door all grimy from working on the car/motorcycle.

The only way to learn is to do it yourself. I've learned that over time. I just didnt want this frustration with removing the carb, so i'll take a cut off wheel to the plastic airbox lol.

I'm so glad its been cold out lately, last night when I went to get my airbox out, i got all but one screw off, was trying to take it out in two pieces, but couldnt get to the last screw. Hammer+cold airbox= !!! lol. The airbox is now out and I'm waiting for my friend to have a little free time to help me unhook the carb. I'll also be needing his screw extractor because of the stupid soft metal screws.
K&N pod filter came in mail yesterday.
