Need some advice

Hey what's up guys!? It's been awhile since I've posted here..

Looking for some advice for my 12' ninja 250

Sooooo sadly due to other life obligations my bike has been sitting for some time (4 months) since its last start / ride. He's sitting at about 20k miles and has never had a valve check but my dude ran like a champ.

Anyways, what would you guys do maintenance wise? What would you guys check (break fluids, oil ext..) ?? I could take it to a local shop to get my valve check done and new tires put on for a decent price? Should I justY the, to do other stuff? I'd hate to waste money on stuff I can do myself (valve check is too complicated for me imo).

What you guys think? Thanks for the replies in advance. Happy new year and safe riding

4 months is not long. I would change oil, charge battery, check fluids, check tires and ride.

valve check can be done at a shop if you're not comfortable doing it.

4 months of no riding is forever man!

What about forks, or suspension, or brake fluid, or cable lubes!? Man I'm just not sure what I'm looking for or how to do it all 100% lol.

Time to read some stickies and use the search button for some how too's

The suspension should be fine, as long as it's not leaking. As far as fluids goes, it's your bike do what you think needs to be to be safe and piece of mind. Considering the low cost of fluid replacement, it's just one less thing to worry about.

I would of course dump the gas, and put fresh gas in if you didn't stabilize it.
