Seriously, I'm not being biased here, but Kawasaki builds the best sportbikes, imo. That's why I own one.

I will say this much, though, I wouldn't be ashamed to own any of the bikes the other companies make either.
CBR600RR? R1/R6? GSXR? Damn!

It's a hard choice for me between honda and kawasaki... granted I've only owned one bike ever which is a kawi xD. My two favorite bikes currently are the 05-06 ZX-6R 636 and the CBR954RR... I think ima have to go with kawasaki, I like their lineup more. Honda doesn't really have a 650 range sport bike or a non SS literbike like the Ninja 1000 and they don't have anything thats like a 90/10 street/dirt bike like a versys (or v-strom) so I think kawasaki's lineup is more diverse, someone correct me if anything that I said was wrong! Granted honda has the VFR/Interceptor but I'm not a huge fan of them :P

I saw a sportbike, on my way yo work today, that I didn't recognize. I caught up to it at a light... it was a BMW K1300S. I complimented the bike, and asked if it was new. He looked over at mine, like he wanted to return a compliment. "Nice color," he said. LOL, that's OK, he spent over $15K. I have never paid more than that my entire life for a car! It was a sweet ride though.

[Note i didnt put ducati in there because they outperform all 4 by a significant amount]
How so re the Duc?

Honda must be the best 600 trackbike as they usually win World Supersport, but wait Yam is doing it this year on recycled R6. Wait Suz must be the best 600 as they are all over AMA racing. Duc 848 is the best trackbike cuz DeSalvo won Daytona on it. What? He just moved to Triumph 675? Duc pulls out of World SBK, but Checa leads the series on a recycled Duc.

How about we are all spoiled today because all bikes are great. Sure there is some compromise, a bike could use a bit more power, while another could use better brakes. With some mods any of these a class winners with the right rider. Sometimes a rider/bike combo doesnt click, but can we really make a bad choice these days?

Haha, I only look at Performance Objectives and not the Rider input since every rider is different. It's not very "factual" when you grade it on rider racebike of choice

Good examples are the GSXR's which weren't set up for the riders so they both scored low on Rider input even though the 750 has the best specs.

I voted Kawasaki because I'm biased and I have two of them. But I have driven Vmaxes, cbr600, scooters (Kymco, Vespa, and Piaggio MP3 400cc), and tried the Versys. I also like the range that Kawi has: great all around bike (Ninjette), screaming explosive SS (ZX6 AND ZX10), two up sport touring/standards (aforementioned Versys/Ninja 650), full dresser cruiser (Voyager 1700) and stretch your arm muscle cruiser (Vulcan 2000). And to even add more credence to my bias, Kawasaki approved me for credit. Suzuki didn't, Harley/Buell didn't, so I went with Kawasaki.

I must say, the non-Kawasaki that I would LOVE if I had to buy a non-Kawi would be the CBR600. It felt surprisingly civil despite the kissing-your-vegetables seating position.

Johnny

It's all American made, so parts shouldn't be hard to get.
