[American Motorcyclist Association] - Yamaha announces bLU cRU contingency support fo

The following is an industry press release...

Cypress, Calif. (February 27, 2015) – Daytona Bike Week is an important event for Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., and the cornerstone of Bike Week is, of course, the historic Daytona 200, where Yamaha has a long-standing heritage of racing success.

In addition to “The Great American Motorcycle Race,” Yamaha riders will be competing in Monster Energy AMA Supercross at Daytona, as well as several other racing events taking place in and around Daytona. Off the track, Yamaha will have product displays and bike demos that are sure to rev your heart during Bike Week.

Daytona 200
Yamaha bLU cRU road racers will be looking to notch Daytona 200 victory number 23 for the tuning-forks brand. Leading the charge is 2010 Daytona 200 winner Josh Herrin, who is back aboard a Yamaha YZF-R6 this year and racing for Wheels in Motion/Motosport.com/Meen Yamaha.

“Although the 2015 Daytona 200 is not a part of this year’s MotoAmerica Road Racing Championship, we’re pleased to announce that we will be adding the Daytona 200 to our Yamaha bLU cRU Road Racing Contingency Program in support of all Yamaha R6 riders,” commented Mike Guerra, Racing Department Manager for Yamaha. “All bLU cRU contingency money will be paid directly to the riders’ bLU cRU Debit Cards. In addition, upon registering for the Program, each bLU cRU rider will receive a $45 credit on http://www.bLUcRUswag.com; special rates with R.I.D.E. partners Yamaha Champions Riding School, American Supercamp, and Raines Riding University; as well as a 10% rebate on GYTR and Graves Motorsports parts and accessories.”

For complete details on how to register, visit the bLU cRU Road Racing Contingency page of the Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., Website at https://www.yamahamotorsports.com/sport/racing/2015_RoadRace_Contingency.aspx.

This year’s Daytona 200 is set to go green on Saturday, March 14 at 1 PM EST.

Monster Energy AMA Supercross
