Yeah, it's black and it's the plastic cover underneith the tail. You mount the ECU to it and other misc relays and electrical components.

That's fine dude I'll grab at from you at this coming round (...right?). I never painted my rear cowl, it is an OEM black model. It's not a race tail section, it's just the cowl that replaces the rear seat. Also, chrome race bike sounds hilariously obnoxious and annoying/blinding.
