I barely ride the 250R but I have been riding it alot recently. And I have never jetted the bike yet. I have had this Dyno Jet kit for a long time. After riding it more frequently the bike does not run really well from 1-6ishk rpm. Then it comes alive. I need to install this kit ASAP. After do some reading I suspect the bike needs to be richend up a little down low. She may be lean, with the Area-P and snorkel removed. I may just try the washer trick. Or just use the needles from the dyno jet kit.

You have the Stage 2 2193 kit? Put the needles with the clip in slot #3, 2 washers and a clip on top of those (see attachment). Adjust the idle mixture screws (remove the caps to get to the screws) 2 1/2-3 turns out and I bet your problem is solved!
As kkim stated, we need a picture of the ceramic insulator, viewed from the end of the plug. More general info: http://www.strappe.com/plugs.html |

if you put a full exhaust on do you have to re-jett it? if you want your bike to run good i mean and not break down... i just installed a fulkl system but have no clue about jetting it or anything... can i just take it to a shop or something and theyll do it or do i need a kit n easy enough to do myself?

If that's where the instructions recommend, I would start there.

Just seeing if any one has tried just using the aftermarket needles with no jet changes. And what results they got, before I do it. I was thinking maybe trying to duplicate the affect of "raising the needles" w/ washers, but using aftermarket needles w/ there different tapper. I will let you guys know what happens.

Yes and since the kit includes 2 extra circlips, I put one on top of the two washers. When I tried to install the needles with just the washers, one washer fell off. Of course, I could have used vaseline/grease, etc. I just figured the extra circlip would fix it for good.
