Modified foot pegs DIY

Wanted to share a DIY footpeg mod I did. The stock riding position makes my knees ache after a couple hours, due to the position of the pegs relative to the seat. look at changing to some rear sets but all I can find raise the height of the pegs.. Changing the oil I noticed the rubber pads on the pegs are held in place by 2 screws. So as an experiment I removed the pads and found this gave me about one more inch of leg room. I used a coarse triangle file to cut some serrations to the top of pegs for grip. I feel a little more vibration throug my feet but not much while wearing my riding boots. the additional inch improves riding comfort.

Sorry guys, I am an old guy who doesn't own a digi camera. I will say after fixing the damage from my little shunt, I took her for a little 100 mile shake down ride. The pegs work great!
