Brake light Harness. Which wire is which?

Hey guys I'm looking to get a brake light modulator from @CThunder-blue and use it for my pregen. Tri is going to see about putting on the right harness for me so that his modulator is plug and play for the pregen. This will benefit other pregen owners as well, because his modulator is adjustable, works with incandescent bulbs, and is reasonably priced, so I have a favor to ask of you guys and gals who own pregens.

Can someone take a couple clear pictures of the 3-pin harness that your brake light plugs into? The hope is that it is the same as the connector that the one used on the newgen 250R's so all Tri has to do is plug the wires into the connector in the right positions.

Also, I would like clarification on which wire does what;
  • blue wire = brake light 12V
  • red wire = running light 12V
  • black/yellow wire is the ground
Correct?

This is the only picture I can find on the faq.ninja250.org wiki, and it only shows one side of the connector. I want to get as many pictures as I can to make sure Tri has all the info he needs.

I really appreciate all the help I can get on this guys

EDIT: The flasher from modmy250.com works great!! Highly recommended!

Well it turns out this was enough info for Tri. I'm pretty confident on the wiring. If it's wrong, I'll swap the wires till they're right.

I ordered it from Tri today, and when I'm home over break, I'll hook it up and test it out, and let you all know how it goes

Same! I'll be able to test this out next weekend (Easter weekend), not this weekend. I'll keep you posted with results.

I'm interested in one too. Is the cost the same as the one for current ninjas?

It's $37.00. Very reasonable, considering it's the only one that doesn't have to flash a million times, is small and easy to install, and works with either incandescent bulbs or LED's.

Not to mention, I'd buy from Tri over a random online store any day.

NOTE: I edited the original post to include a link to the lighting page on Tri's site, where you can find his modulator

For all you DIYers, this might be of interest.

http://www.sentex.net/~mec1995/circ/motflash.html

Or

http://autolumination.com/1156_1157.htm Look for "THE BRAKER FLASHING BRAKE LIGHT BULB", a little less than half way down the page, above "THE BRAKER FLASHING LIGHT MODULE"

Might be worth a shot for $6?

Found these on another forum while searching for a DIY modulator.

@CThunder-blue thanks so much for working with me on this one. I love the flasher.

everybody!! It works great!

I've got it flashing twice, and then staying solid. Still not sure whether I should make the time until re-activation 0 seconds or 15 seconds. Thoughts on this?

That's good to know Chris! I would go with the 15 second delay. Having it strobe constantly will get annoying to people.

Haha I'll fiddle with that next time I'm home. Don't really feel like playing with it right now. You should add that onto your site so we all can buy them from you. Great product. I installed the ninjette.org vinyls as well. They look smashing

Tri is the man people!!
