Looking good, can't wait for final pics. Is it just the angle or is the tail at a higher angle in the 2nd pic from the first?

First off: Good for you for being ambitious and doing something you like.

I absolutely love the paint scheme but to be honest I'd leave the stickers off. This ain't Capirossi's or Bayliss' bike. Make it YOUR bike. Make YOUR statement.

I know I'll get flamed for this but... Gut reaction to a sticker-ed up 250 made to look like a Ducati:

"Seriously? Isn't that a bit like wads of tissue paper in the bra?"

Also reminds me of those kit cars from the 70s. You know, where you could take a Beetle and make it look like a supercar. It was still a freakin' Beetle, though.

A 250 can be really cool in its own right. Why pretend to make it something it's not? I could put a set of GSXR stickers on mine, but that won't make it a Suzuki supersport. (Picture it... silly, ain't it? How is this any different?)

If I saw that bike with just the paint job I'd give it a huge thumbs-up because it's striking and tasteful. Really beautiful, especially with the new wheels and gold treatment.

If I saw it with all the MotoGP wannabe junk I'd probably just laugh to myself, shake my head and walk away. What makes that Ducati awesome isn't the stickers. It's the BIKE. And as much as I love Ninjette's, they're not Ducatis. ESPECIALLY not Ducati MotoGP bikes.

But hey, if it floats your boat, more power to ya!

Although I understand where you're coming from, I think he just likes the design and art of the bike that happens to be a larger sized MotGP Ducati. It's just like buying helmet replicas. Respect for the "real thing (the driver, team, etc)" and appreciation for the creativity put into the original design.

Above that.. 250's are MotoGP bikes.. 2 stroke maybe, but 250 none the less.

Paint looks great! What kind of rims are those, though?

thanks for your thought man. but I prefer to stick something on my bike.. beside it's the easiest way to chance the look of bike appearance. once I get bored with those stickers, might put different one next time

i'm open to all kind of opinion. beside, if all of us thinking the same way, this world would be boring place that's aftermarket rim for ninja 250r, with wider base for bigger tire size. you can click my signature (blue) for detail

I hear ya. I feel the same way about helmet replicas... "Senator, I know who Valentino is, and you're no Valentino."

I guess it's just a mindset. I greatly prefer going my own way and making my own statement.

I do appreciate all the hard work that went into that project. If you're going to do it, do it right... and the OP obviously is.

And yes, I know about 250 GP bikes. But this is not a replica of one. It's very, very specific.

Seriously, make big print of the bike without stickers and take another just like it once it's all tarted up.

Set 'em up side-by-side in a place where you spend a lot of time.

That'll make it clear which one you really like, deep down.

PS: That really is beautiful.

sticker parts temporary on hold as I'm busy with another project right now.. keep it as it is until I got time for it

anyway, last month I did ordered universal turn light from ebay (china seller) which I plan to replace my rear turn light.. should get here within 3 weeks but never received it.. request for refund and bought this one today from USA seller, which I trust more as USPS are 10 times reliable

should be here within 2 weeks.. no more sticking out rear turn light for me

HERE'S the link for those light:

Love the gas tank! Does it just go over the OEM one, and just bolt on below other fairings?

Also wondering where you got them and how much?

Rei, no bolt needed for those tank cover, it will lock on it's position once you put back seat pad on, and tighten fairing screws

Josh, love the sound and look of those Jardine gp1, good news no police stop me yet, maybe they love it too

Hans, those are solid bright red which look slightly look orange under the sun Duxone brand if not mistaken.

it's made of fiberglass.. here's combo pics on how to fix it:

1st; loosen the screws and fairing
2nd; open both side cover to
3rd; open up seat
4th; cover your tank with tape to avoid scratch on original paint
5th: put on tank cover

you'll need to repaint it again somehow as the factory painting finish don't match kawa OEM color... any color.
