Just various lines to control how the headlight reflects out of the lamp.

Let me know if you have any suggestions... I did the logo in many parts/layers so it's infinitely customizable. I personally think my logo would look badass on a black T-shirt

Hi Arthur, I think that would look bad-ass on a t-shirt as well! I scaled the pics to 113 pixels high, and here's what they'd look like with the randompics next to them:

Scaled, with randompic

Let me know how you think it looks with the randompic, and if you'd prefer the logo to be on the left, then the randompic to the right, or if your preference is to replace the randompic altogether.

What about having a transparent background on the logo so that it mixes a bit better...

I can't make it transparent because of the gradient effects, but I can custom make it so that it blends into any background color.

If the background of it fades to that same exact light-green color (html code: #DDE5D6), it's as good as transparent for this site. It just makes it harder if we were ever to change the colors. But that's not happening for a very long time if ever, so I wouldn't worry about it if true transparency isn't possible (though I don't understand why yet, and will likely play with it myself if the winning logo doesn't use transparency).

If you were to ever change your colors, it'd be a 30 second fix to update the logo

The way I have it setup, to accomplish the offsetting gradient look, unless you can "fill" with a transparent "color" (which you can't), it's impossible to make it truly transparent without altering the design.

Anyway, I blended it into the current forum color right above ya, so it's as good as transparent.

Can you tell me what dimensions I need to replace the entire header? Minus the photo.

Thanks

Hi Cling -

It's variable, depending on how wide someone's screen is. The smallest size screen that I'd like to support is 1024/768. The advertising banner in the top right of the header is 468 pixels wide. So the rest of the header in that case could only be a maximum of 1024 - 468 = 556 pixels wide. But even then there would be zero space between the ad and the rest of the header; might look OK or might not depending on the design of the header itself. But if someone has a very wide screen (I run 1680x1050 on one screen, and 1600x1200 on the second), there is more space in the header in between the logo and the ad. Let me know if this answers your question, or if there's any more info I can provide.

- Alex

Yeah thx, who doesn't like Ninja-stars right? You hardly ever see the "Ninja" associated with Ninja related things, so I figured I would be one of the first Next up is a Katana!

Who knows ;P I am pretty sure he meant it as a joke though, it obviously doesnt need to be, and shouldnt be posted as an actual selection given the fact that he doesnt even have an account on here.

You wouldn't be able to sell anything with that logo on it without having the express written concent of the Kawaskai people

What are their actual sizes (in pixels)? They shouldn't be more than about 110 pixels high. If you are still using the random smugmug shot, it shouldn't be wider than about 300 pixels, but if it's not going to use the random pic it can be more like 450ish pixels wide.

Nope, it's really up to you. If it looks clean at the smaller size, that's fine by me, there's no minimum width requirement.

Thanks for the feedback! AlexBeck, you know, it's wierd that thought never crossed my mind. I agree that the green should be adjusted to be closer to Kawi lime green; I'll get on it.

Arc - I'm diggin those logos man... nice and clean. The font in this one is SICK:

Any chance you could PM me the font name?

The font looks great but the challenge is to somehow make the "Ninjette.org" name pop out *clearly*.

FWIW I think I like the earlier colors and fonts better. Just cuz Kawasaki thinks that is an attractive green for their bikes, we all don't necessarily have to use it on everything.

There are older bikes here too... I am not to talented when it comes to creating things out of the blue (I am more of a components type...) but how about one useing both Gens... like either having the fronts facing each other or facing away but faded in the middle for the title...

All the logos so far are just the new Generation...

Colors be damned, those changed every year but the first Gen bike was the same for YEARS until 08 came... ( just a thought )
