HELP, I am on the fence. .GSXR vs KLR 650

I am so on the fence about this guy who wants to trade bikes.

I am very happy with my bike, more than I need but plenty to keep me satisfied forever, Super good shape and I bought it for less than 2K through CL flipping. buy sled fix sled trade for cruiser, fix cruiser trade for Gsxr.

I have never been sentimental about any vehicle ever until this bike.
And now I dont want to let it go because seems to me that 85% chance he dumps it before October.\\

But sound business says to me that I would be lucky to sell my bike for 4500 with all these CL hagglers. and I will be making a profit just from the cash and basically have a free KLR.

\\\So a guy offered to trade me his

05 KLR 650 with 20k miles +3000$

@verboten1 - What do you think ? a clean KLR worth chasing or should I just go after a different adventure. I know you upgraded to a Tenere

for my

04 GSXR 750 with 18k miles

My bike is exceptionally clean and has never been dropped on its side not even from a stand still! the only scratches are tiny. One from a passenger helmet that didnt hang right last road trip and put an inch long 3/16" wide white scratch in the tail/ and a few rock chips.

His bike is very clean, it has been dropped and had the shifter replaced.
but overall few scratchs and now dents mud or rust.

His has FMF power bomb full exhaust and a KN filter

Mine has a pile of aftermarket. Full Termigoni exhaust, Scintered pads. braided lines, levers, double bubble smoked, lowered, adjustable kick stand, speedo healer, and a few odd other items

I told him I would let him know tomorrow. he is seriously and eagerly pressuring me to trade.

I still have and plan on keeping my KLR. If he is willing to give you $3000 plus his bike I'd take it. Easy $1500 for the bike, but you'll like it, even though it's slow, the first time you hit some fun offroad...it's the best

I'd keep the gsxr and get a dirt cheap 125 to play around in the dirt on

Keep the GSXR. You can pick up a KLR for cheap if you want an adventure bike. You'll regret letting your sport bike go
